JKBOPEE Introduction
Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination, commonly known as JKBOPEE, is the official government organization responsible for conducting entrance exams for various professional courses in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and UT of Ladakh.
The board is established under the J&K BOPEE Act, 2002, and manages admissions to engineering, medical, and other professional courses in government and private institutions. The board maintains transparency and ensures a merit-based selection process, following the latest reservation policies and regulations.
JKBOPEE B.Sc. Nursing, Paramedical & Technology Courses: Overview
JKBOPEE is now inviting applications for the Common Entrance Test for admission to B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Paramedical, and B.Sc. Technology Courses for the academic session 2025 in Government/Private Colleges/Institutions of UT of J&K.
These courses are designed for students who are interested in healthcare and medical sciences. They provide the knowledge and skills required for careers in hospitals, laboratories, research centers, and healthcare institutions.
- B.Sc. Nursing – This course focuses on patient care, medical procedures, and healthcare management. Graduates can work as nurses, clinical instructors, or healthcare administrators.
- B.Sc. Paramedical – This course includes emergency medical services, diagnostic techniques, and rehabilitation. Graduates can work as lab technicians, radiographers, and physiotherapists.
- B.Sc. Technology (SKIMS, Srinagar) – This course is related to advanced medical technology, imaging, and diagnostic tools. Graduates can work in hospitals, diagnostic centers, and research labs.
Eligibility Criteria
For B.Sc. Nursing
- The applicant must be a domicile of J&K or Ladakh (For Ladakh candidates, an ST certificate shall be treated as a Domicile Certificate).
- Age: 17-35 years (as of December 31, 2025).
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).
- Candidates appearing for 12th exams in 2025 or those who have already appeared can apply, provided they submit their 12th class qualifying certificate at the time of admission if selected.
- The candidate must be medically fit.
For B.Sc. Paramedical
- Applicants must be a domicile of J&K or Ladakh.
- Age: 17-35 years (as of December 31, 2025).
- Applicants must have passed 10+2 exams in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from a recognized board.
- Medical fitness is required.
- Lateral entry candidates must have a diploma in the relevant field and 10+2 in PCB.
For B.Sc. Technology (SKIMS, Srinagar)
- Applicant must be a domicile of J&K or Ladakh.
- Age: 17 years and above (as of December 31, 2025).
- Must have passed 10+2 (PCB & English) with 50% marks (40% for reserved categories).
- Candidates appearing for 12th exams in 2025 can also apply.

Required Documents for Online Application
The scanned copies of documents must be 100-200 KB, in PDF format. The required documents are:
- Domicile Certificate (J&K or Ladakh ST Certificate)
- 10+2 Marksheet & Certificate (If available)
- Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculation)
- Valid Reserved Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Any other required documents
Note: These documents will be verified later by JKBOPEE or the allotted institute. If any incorrect documents are submitted, admission might be canceled.
CET Exam and Syllabus
JKBOPEE will conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2025 for admission to B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Paramedical, and B.Sc. Technology Courses for the academic session 2025 in Government/Private Colleges/Institutions of UT of J&K. The exam will be conducted offline (pen-paper-based) in Srinagar and Jammu Centers. Below is the detailed paper pattern:
Total Questions: 180 (Multiple Choice Questions – MCQs)
Subjects & Distribution:
- Physics – 60 Questions
- Chemistry – 60 Questions
- Biology – 60 Questions
Total Marks: 180
Marking Scheme:
- +1 mark for each correct answer
- -0.25 marks for each incorrect answer (negative marking)
Duration: 3 Hours- Language of Paper: English
Syllabus
The syllabus for Common Entrance Test (CET) is based on 11th and 12th class Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, following the NEP NCERT curriculum.
